Gel Polish can be cleaned off the skin with the 99% alcohol using a nail brush or an orangewood stick. You MUST do this before curing the polish under the light. If you have any gel polish overlapping on the cuticle or the sidewall of the nail it will cause lifting. If you have need of a gel nail brush, I do have them for you to use. We will use a gel brush later in the course but I am bringing the topic up now "just in case." Gel nail brushes are synthetic, not natural, and must be cleaned with 99% alcohol. Acetone will dissolve a synthetic brush.
I have been showing you how to drill out and perform fill-ins/soak-offs/polish clean-up as needed. If you have not learned how to do so, then please let me know.
I would like to show you how I do a French Polish. Please let me know when you have fingers, plastic or human, available, and I will demonstrate.
You're a great group and I love working with you. Thank you for being positive and focused. :) Remember to take pictures of each set and watch the improvement. I would like for you to create an album to show your progress in the course. You can also take pics of nail art for your album. It's your album, so add in whatever you would like. More on the album later. Beautiful nails take practice, practice, practice. This course is just the beginning. You will need to do hundreds of sets to be an expert. As always, if there is anything I can help you with, please let me know.
Questions? Someone else probably has the same question, so post in the comment section and I will answer. If my answer is not clear, of course you can ask for clarification when we are together in class.
