HOW TO GET AN EDUCATION IN ANY ENVIRONMENT

HOW TO GET AN EDUCATION IN ANY ENVIRONMENT

1. Don't expect to be appreciated. Your only expectation should be to learn.

2. Don't come to school to have personal relationships. Keep your eye on the career you are here to achieve.

3. Don't allow others or your environment to affect who you are.

4. Look for opportunities to improve the classroom atmosphere without commenting on the challenges. Influence your environment in a positive way, don't let your environment infuence you negatively.

5. Each day is an opportunity to learn to work with different personalities. This is a blessing, even when it does not seem so.

6. Do your classwork and services well, remembering your mission is to be a daymaker, not a daybreaker. A cosmetologist is in their career to serve others.

7. Remember to do your best, where you are. Complete your education in a timely manner, without rushing. Keep in mind you are building your career. This building is done in steps, as on a ladder. Learning is done one step at a time. You must place your foot on the step firmly. If you skip a step or place only a part of your foot on the step, you will fall

Please remember, the sign in/out sheet and the time clock are expected to match.  The sign in sheet should have the same time that you clocked in/out.  Please do not sign out on the sheet in advance.  Sign in/out, clock in/out only when arriving and leaving.

You have no scheduled breaks.  If you take a break, you must sign out.  This time is deducted from your day.  Taking a break will affect your attendance hours, delaying your completion of the program.  Taking a break will also affect your financial aid.  Arriving tardy, leaving early, being late returning from lunch will affect not only your time, it will affect your employability grade.

Please remember, the policy is

  1. sign in when you arrive
  2. sign out for lunch
  3. sign in after lunch
  4. sign out for the day
The policy is to sign in/out should you choose to take a break.

You are responsible for signing in/out, no one can do it for you.

If you do not sign in/out you will be marked absent.  Please monitor your attendance in FOCUS.  If you see you need an attendance correction, please let me know within 24 hours. I want to make sure your receive hours for all of your attendance, but you are responsible for signing in/out accurately.  Help me, help you by keeping up with this daily.

You are scheduled 6 hours a day.  Lunch is 30 minutes.  Tardy to school and returning from lunch will result in a loss of  time.  Losing time will affect your grade, your financial aid and extend your completion date.

If you are not going to be in class or are tardy, please notify me by 10:00am.  The best way to notify me is email.

  • zoch.laura@mybradford.us.

Stay tuned! I will notify you when we have our time clock set up for clocking in and out.

GOOD MORNING!

This is the first week we have had our duty list posted.  The link is always here, on our blog site posting.  It is also printed and available on the class bulletin board in the hallway by the dispensary. Some of these things are completed in the morning, some at the end of the day, some throughout the day.  Dispensary assignments must be checked on frequently throughout the day to keep our dispensary clean.  It is critical that our classroom is always kept clean and organized.  Please remember, we are a team.  Be respectful to one another. Treat other  as you would like to be treated.  Pick up after yourself and help one another.  If you see something that needs cleaned up during the day, just do it, without complaint.

Please let the Shop Manager know when you have completed your cleaning.  Shop Mangers are responsible for checking your work and signing off that your job has been completed. Thank you all so much for your cooperation.  Working together creates a pleasant environment for all.
