Proper way to clean your station:
Please remember to clean and disinfect your chair seat, back, and arms. Clean the chair base, lower your chair and clean your mat. Chairs should be facing the same direction, outward, ready for a client to be seated. Please clean your mirrors and clean and disinfect your station surface. Thank you for keeping our salon and classroom clean.

Many of you will be completing your time at NFTC soon. As per your handbook, you are expected to take and pass your Senior Finals. To be eligible to take your Senior Finals, you must have completed all of your assignments, all of your services, and passed all of your chapter tests. You must pass these finals with an 80 or above to complete and apply to take your state board exam. You will have activities in MindTap to review and complete to help refresh your memory. I also have many worksheets available upon request for anyone who would like additional review materials. These finals will be scheduled individually. I have a list of the finals below for you to print and use for your reference. We will discuss this in class 9/18, as well. Please let me know if you have any questions or if there is something else I can do to help you review.

Clocking in/out, signing in/out is required. If you make a mistake or forget to clock in/out, please clock in asap and note in the comments during clock out that I need to make a correction. You can also email me within 24 hours of a necessary correction and I will make the adjustment. If you let me know an adjustment is needed, you do not lose points on your employability skills grade.
Just a reminder, being tardy for class may cause you to lose points on your employability skills grade. Employability skills are 1/3rd of your course grade. I do take roll when I come into the classroom each morning. If you are not in your seat, then you are marked tardy. I also check the time clock to make sure everyone who is clocked in is present in class. At the end of each week, I deduct the points from your employability skills grade. If you are going to arrive in class after 9:00, email me to let me know and I will not deduct points.
A reminder on how the employability skills grade works:
a. each course you begin with 100 points
b. each infraction results in a deduction of points
c. any reason for point deduction is noted with your grade in focus.
Breaks:
Please remember to clock in/out for any break you take. Breaks are not part of your scheduled day and result in a deduction of time. This can affect your financial aid. You must let me know when you are leaving for a break, don't just walk out the door. I need to know where you are at all times. I randomly check the time clock throughout the day to make sure all who are clocked in are actually in the classroom.
Women in Business has a $1000 balance available to award in scholarships to woman over the age of 25 who are currently seeking a business degree/trade of some sort. The student must physically reside in Bradford/Union/Keystone Heights. There is a link below for the application. The application must be turned in via email no later than September 14th at 5:00 pm.
