Nail Class

Adult Nail Class:  Reminder, you will need size 8 nail tips to fit your fingers.  You will need a total of 150 tips.  I recommend you purchase 1 extra bag just to cover any mistakes you might make.  It's always handy to have extra.  The following website has been used by previous classes and recommended by former students as having the best price.

High School Nail Class:  Your  tips will be provided and are being ordered this week.  It will take time for them to come in. I don't know how long, it varies.  You are welcome to purchase nail tips, if you wish to do so.

Please remember, each team will have High School and Adult Salon Leaders who will be responsible for organizing their team to achieve our goal of a classroom and salon we can be proud of.  Each team will also have a morning dispensary person who is responsible for keeping our dispensary area, clean, stocked, and organized.  The dispensary person is to remain in the dispensary. When not busy with dispensary duties, you may work at the table located in the dispensary.  Thank you to each and everyone of you for your participation. Please remember, completing your task and cleaning up after yourself (with a smile on your face) is part of your daily Employability Skills grade.  Thank you for your help.  It takes all of you to make our classroom run effectively.

Sugaring Recipe

1 cup sugar
Half a lemon for the juice
1/4 cup honey
Drizzle of Molasses

Application method 1:  Powder the skin before applying sugar mixture.  Warm the product and apply using a spatula, with the hair growth.  Pull against the hair growth.

Application method 2:  Powder the skin before applying sugar mixture. Product can be applied by hand (wear gloves), at room temp going against the hair growth and removed in the direction of hair growth with a thicker application.  If necessary for smoother application, product can be warmed a bit.

Just a reminder, the class will be ending soon and there are assignments that must be completed.  Please log into FOCUS, check your posted grades, and let me know if you see any discrepancies. Check the assignments for anything that is incomplete. Everything must be turned in by your completion date, and all tests must be 80 or above for you to obtain your Nail Specialty License.  If you have tests to retake, please do so by May 4th.  Thank you.
