REMINDER

You have been enrolled long enough to be accustomed to the Salon Iris system.  Clocking in/out, signing in/out is required.  If you make a mistake or forget to clock in/out, please clock in asap and note in the comments during clock out that I need to make a correction.  You can also email me within 24 hours of a necessary correction and I will make the adjustment.  If you let me know an adjustment is needed, you do not lose points on your employability skills grade.  
Being tardy for class may cause you to lose points on your employability skills grade. Employability skills are 1/3rd of your course grade.   I do take roll when I come into the classroom each morning.  If you are not in your seat, then you are marked tardy.  I also check the time clock to make sure everyone who is clocked in is present in class.  At the end of each week, I deduct the points from your employability skills grade.  If you are going to arrive in class after 9:00, email me to let me know and I will not deduct points. 

A reminder on how the employability skills grade works:
a.  each course you begin with 100 points
b. each infraction results in a deduction of points
c. any reason for point deduction is noted with your grade in focus.

Long Thursday

 Please remember, we have long Thursday this week.  The hours for long Thursday are 9:00am - 7:30pm. Everyone  is scheduled for the entire day.  You cannot come in early, just so you can leave early on long Thursdays.  Class hours are the same for everyone.  Please plan accordingly. Thank you.  

February Duty List

EVERYONE please read the list each week and follow directions.   Please complete your tasks at 3:00pm unless otherwise instructed. You must sign off when you have completed your duty to verify it is completed.   Remember, each week there will be a Shop Manager.  This person will be your go to for anything you need to complete your assigned task.  When you complete your task, please report to the Shop Manager. Shop Managers, it is your responsibility to check all tasks when they are completed to make sure it is done correctly. Everyone, please let me know if you need my assistance with anything. Communication and teamwork is the key to our success in having a safe, clean classroom to work in. Thank you for your help with this very important part of our day. Oh, one last thing. Remember, clean up and teamwork are part of your Employability Skills grade. Thank you again!

January Group

 Tuesday, February 2nd, I would like you to bring in the following items:

1 mannequin with straight hair and mannequin stand

shears

clips

combs

brushes

flat iron

curling irons

We will be doing a 0 degree haircut Tuesday afternoon to prep your mannequin for styling.  Wednesday 2/3, I will not be here.  We will have Mrs. Yarbourough come in to substitute.  She will be teaching updo styles.  You will need the above items to participate.  After Mrs. Yarbourough's updo class, you will take the mannequin and supplies home until we are ready to use them daily.  I am so excited to have Mrs. Yarbourough coming in to work with you!
